GVAT Trainings & Workshops
We offer workshops and provide training in Industrial Areas Foundation organizing and power-building.
Our 10 hour Foundations of Community Organizing training is free for member organizations. Leaders from member organization will also have access to IAF retreats at reduced cost.
Our Indigenous Relationships Learning Circle has developed a short Land Acknowledgement Training, available for all GVAT bodies and member organizations. Contact janew@gvat.ca for details.

GVAT is hosting this training by Bakau Consulting, leaders in the field of equity,
diversity and inclusion. Attend for free thanks to a grant from Victoria Foundation.
GVAT's Committee on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (COEDI) invites GVAT to learn together, developing language and concepts in common to use to further create a welcoming, supportive culture and positive interactions for all within GVAT and beyond.
Additionally, this is an opportunity to strengthen member organizations. People not active in GVAT but belonging to GVAT member organizations are also very welcome.
Fundamentals of Anti-Oppression is Bakau's introductory course and a prerequisite to any further Bakau training. Don't miss this chance.
